CYES Week 3: New Lamps in Marin and New JOBS in Richmond

Sophie Barich
LIFT, Marin County

This week in Marin, we had our first late night day this past Thursday (the 19th). It was very successful! We served homes of families who otherwise would have been unable to take advantage of our free service. We also went to the San Rafael Farmers market on 4th Street, securing appointments for the following day as well as the week to follow. With the great efforts of our Outreach managers, as well as vigilant canvassing efforts by our Energy Specialists, we have been able to keep our schedules busy. Unfortunately some of our Energy Specialists have been ill, but others found ways to step up and help keep the momentum going in their absence. Some even managed to do 5 appointments in a single day! Drop-ins and canvassing has been crucial to the success of the Marin site over the past week. We are also looking forward to our first Torchiere swap next Friday at Pickleweed Park in San Rafael.

We had a new Energy Specialist join us this week, his name is Oshae!  We’re gonna get him up to speed and he’ll be swapping light bulbs and water faucets in no time.  We sadly had to say goodbye to one of our returning ESes as she is moving up in her career, we all wish her the best as she starts a new chapter in her life.  Richmond is doing an outstanding job with installations and metering, congrats to all our ESes for their hard work.
