CYES Week 4: Looking Forward to A Strong Finish in Richmond & Marin

David McCall
LIFT, Richmond

Winding up the week we closed with professional development on resumes and cover letters. In addition, we had a visit for our filming of the Youtube video we are producing.  Our Energy Specialists had a lot of fun with their part, and we hope everyone else is too.

Berkley Labs is very pleased with our progress with installations of energy monitoring equipment, big congratulations to all the teams and sites for helping them reach and go beyond their goal.

Lastly, for our site the teams have been performing so well that we decided to throw them a pizza party on the last professional development day to thank them for all their hard work.

Marin County has been covering lots of ground this week… and by ground I mean square footage. We did two very large homes (7000 sq ft and a duel property of a total of 4300 sq ft); one of them required 78 light bulbs across the whole property.

We also received a donation from the Safeway in downtown San Rafael towards our end of the year barbeque. We learned in our professional development the importance of an interview when applying for a job. The favorite question was “If you went to Hogwarts, what house would you be and why?” We tabled at the YMCA and farmers market, reaching many people in order to fill up our schedules for the week.

Although some of our energy specialists have fallen ill, we have worked together to help pick up the slack and finish the week sprinting! We successfully completed a torchiere swap in the Canal area of San Rafael.
