The full Berkeley team!

Our site has completed our first and extremely successful week of Green House Calls (GHCs) of the 2013 summer! In both cities, the served clients have vocalized an appreciation for the services provided through Rising Sun. One Berkeley resident stated, “It is great and necessary to have an honest and resourceful green program, [like Rising Sun], that is completely free,” particularly in Bay Area neighborhoods to raise environmental awareness. Prior to our visits, many residents had already installed a number of energy efficient measures and use our program to receive additional services and information. Similarly, the Berkeley/Emeryville Energy Specialist (ESes) have expressed positive feedback about performed GHCs and are eager to continue working to serve as many homes as possible while representing Rising Sun Energy Center, attempting to preserve the environment, and promoting green youth employment.

Our Energy Specialists finally got to go out on the field and take on their roles as leaders of change. With the exception of July 4th (Thursday), our ESes still managed to get 28 green house calls done this week. So far our ESes are getting positive feedback from all our clients. Some teams are already stepping up by taking in four house calls each day. Our team has been great job getting referrals so far, keep up the good work! Richmond is definitely on track to become a greener city with our help!
